Dine like there’s no tomorrow at Wild River Grille July 26-31 with an enticing four-course meal as we roll out the blood red carpet for our neighbors at the Pioneer Center’s Broadway show Hadestown.
Welcome to HADESTOWN, where a song can change your fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show from celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today… and always.
HADESTOWN intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, HADESTOWN is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go. Our culinary team has crafted a meal for your pre-show dining pleasure that is sure to delight the senses.
Proud Supporter of the Nevada Humane Society
The Ducks are back in town on August 27th! This year the Duck Race & Festival will be hosted at Wingfield Park from 10-4 pm on August 27, 2022! The past two years have been a very different version of the Duck Race event due to the pandemic. But this year the ducks are back to racing! With record breaking duck sales in 2020 & 2021, with more than 50,000 ducks sold per year, let’s break another record this year for our shelter pets! To save pets and be entered in the chance to win a brand-new car or $10,000 donated by Carson City Toyota, purchase a $5 duck today!
In addition to the ceremonial duck launch at 3pm, there will be fun activities for the whole family including: Pet Adoptions, Beer Garden, Photo Lounge, Food Trucks, Vendor Booths, Games for the Kids, and so much more! The Duck Race provides Nevada Humane Society with essential funding that ensures they continue life-saving work to care and find homes for Northern Nevada pets in need. We thank you for your incredible support of this year’s Duck Race! Stop by Wild River Grille to adopt a duck and help us support the Nevada Humane Society.
